The studio is located in a private residence in the Talus community in Issaquah, WA. For privacy and security reasons, we do not give out our exact address online. It’s quite easy to get to, though, and we will give you the full address and directions when you book your party.
Parties are appropriate for boys and girls, and are best enjoyed by those age 10 to adult. We currently only do recording parties for kids in middle school and above.
The ideal party size is 4 to 6 participating children or adults. 8 is the absolute maximum number of participants for both safety and maximum enjoyment. Parents are welcome to attend & observe, but space is limited and we ask that you try to limit the number of non-participating adults, and either carpool or hire a limo service. For larger parties, we can book a larger recording studio for you in the greater Seattle area, or discuss other options.
Yes, we have liability insurance.
Stephen Sherrard runs the studio. He has worked in the recording industry as a full time professional for over 25 years, and has been involved in music all of his life. He has also been taking photos since a very young age, and won many photography awards. Eastside Recording Parties is part of Stephen’s DBAR Productions. The recording parties idea is one that Stephen came up with to combine his love of both recording and photography. He is often assisted at the parties by his wife and young son.
Yes. All of the photos from the party are uploaded to our server, and a download link sent via email. You are free to share the photos download link with other parents. Photoshop photo editing is included in some packages, or can be added for an additional fee. Photoshop edited photos are usually delivered within 7 days after the party. If you want custom prints or personalized awards or other items, we can do that as well, for an additional charge. However, you are free to use the photos in any way that you like.
Yes! We want to make each party special and unique. The packages we list on the web site are a good starting point with the most popular options. We also have a list of popular extras you can add on to any package. But, you are not limited to those either. When you submit a booking request, you can specify the package you want, plus any extras, as well as give us details on any customization or special requests you might have. We will get back to you as soon as possible with a customized quote for your party. You can also email us to discuss your party plans.

We gladly accept cash! We also accept all major credit cards plus PayPal.
All parties must be paid for in advance to hold your day & time. Cancellations and rescheduling must be made at least 3 days before your scheduled party. There is no charge if you reschedule your party more than 7 days before the scheduled date. There is a 10% rescheduling fee if a party is rescheduled between 3 and 7 days before the scheduled date. Parties cancelled more than 7 days before the scheduled date will be refunded the full amount minus a processing fee. There is a 50% cancellation fee if a party is cancelled between 3 and 7 days before the scheduled party. No refunds for parties cancelled less than 3 days from the scheduled party. While we realize that circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending your party, it is also next to impossible for us to book and prepare for another party with less than 3 days notice, and very difficult within even 7 days.
